Recent research has shown that when you exercise more, your body protein is used up and you have to balance the loss of protein.

For normal persons the RDA for proteins is 1 am per one pound of weight. This means that if you weigh 150 pounds then you must take 150gm of proteins. This is for those who live normal lifestyle. If you are an athlete you have to take more protein as you will be taking more training. If you are a body builder you have to take atleast 250% of the RDA protein level to build new muscles.
